➌ a “dear john” letter
Dear Erika,
I don’t know where to start. I guess that’s why I never got around to doing this in person. I meant to a couple times but I waited too long and you distracted me like you always do. And once we got laughing it was over. Anyway, I guess there’s no way out now. Paper is so finalized and once it’s in your hands there’s no going back.
What the hell are we even doing? You’re so touch and go- I never know what you really want. I don’t even know what I want wanted.
Anyway, here it is. I met someone. Actually, you’ve met her too. She’s in the basement. When you’re not around she talks more. I think she likes me too. Or, I think she could. I’m trying to figure out how to give her that chance, but to do that I had to start with this.
I know you’ll understand eventually, but for now Flux and Tyn are working around the clock. Oh, and I got you a new rat. Consider it a consolation prize.
Love,
Sincerely,
- Dylan
