Dylan wanted nothing more than to torment her, to make her life hell, and she just couldn’t understand why. “Why are you so obsessed with me?! Why can’t you just give it up?! Why —” but her final question was left unheard as his hand covered her mouth and her eyes widened again, tears finally spilling over as a bit of a whimper left her.
“I will never give you up.”
The words tumbled off his lips, his expression losing some of its edge and becoming more frantic as her tears spilled and she turned more into the woman he knew. His grip on her remained strong and he didn’t move away.
